Banana, Tumeric & Honey Mask
Benefits:
In preparation for fall/winter, this mask will leave your skin radiant, moisturized and baby soft! With an additional benefit of reduction in dark spot and dark under eye circles.
Bananas are rich in potassium which moisturizes, hydrates and soften skin. Bananas also contain levels of vitamin A & C, which help with anti-aging and lightening darks spots.
Tumeric contains anti-inflammatory properties (Curcumin, which is the main active ingredient in turmeric) and is a natural antiseptic which helps fight off acne and helps keep the bacteria from spreading. Tumeric aids in the reduction of dark spots, blemishes and stretch marks.
Extremely moisturizing and soothing Honey helps create a radiant glow and ultra soft skin! Honey is also full of anti-oxidants which are great for slowing down aging skin and acne treatment/prevention. As a bonus, Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.
What you’ll need:
1/2 Ripened banana
1 tbsp Tumeric
1 tbsp Manuka Honey
Preparation:
Mash bananas with a fork (or Mix with blender/food processor, if available) until pureed.
Mix in the Tumeric & Honey.
Allow the mixture to sit for 10 - 15 minutes.
Use:
Apply mask to clean face using your finger tips, gently massaging in a upward motion.
Leave mask on for 15 - 20 minutes.
Remove with lukewarm water.
Tone.
Apply Serum.
Moisturize (apply sunscreen if mask is applied as a morning routine)
For best results, apply 2-3x a week for 4-5 weeks.
Strawberry, Brown Sugar & Sweet Almond Oil Scrub (Face & Body)
Benefits:
This gentle but effective scrub is ideal for dull, sensitive and/or oily skin.
Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and are also acidic in nature, making it an excellent agent to reduce the appearance of dark marks, as well as remove excess sebum (natural oil) from the skin.
Brown sugar’s granulated properties help remove excess dead skin, creating smooth, soft & radiant skin. Brown sugar also consist of glycolic acid and has anti-bacterial properties, which aid in overall radiant and smooth texture.
Last, but certainly not least! Sweet Almond Oil, not to be confused with regular almond oil, as there is a difference! Sweet almond oil is a carrier oil, rich in vitamin E with high anti-oxidant properties that nourish and regenerate dry, also protecting skin from sun damage. Sweet almond oil also contains oleic and linoleic acids with relieve skin irritation and inflammation.
What you’ll need:
3-4 strawberries
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sweet almond oil
Preparation:
Mash strawberries with a fork (or Mix with blender/food processor, if available until pureed.
Mix in the Brown Sugar & Sweet Almond Oil.
Use:
Apply scrub to face and/or body in a upward circular motion.
Remove with lukewarm water.
For best results, apply 1-2x a week for 4-5 weeks.
Homemade Eczema Cream (Body Only)
Benefits:
Rich in high oil content & fatty acids, Shea butter also contains vitamins A, E and F which help to promote healing of dry, itchy and inflamed skin
Coconut Oil can soothe the skin, reduce irritation and itching, and lower the risk of infection. Due to its high concentration of Lauric acid, Coconut oil can help combat Eczema, Acne & Psoriasis.

Lavender essential oil helps reduce inflammation and restore balance to the skin. Lavender has anti-fungal properties which helps cleanse the skin of bacteria, reducing the chance of infection.
Tea tree essential contains anti-inflammatory and anti-itching properties which can help reduce some of the most significant symptoms associated with eczema.
What you’ll need:
½ cup shea butter
½ cup coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw honey
40 drops lavender essential oil
5-10 drops tea tree essential oil
Preparation:
Using a double broiler (or microwave - see YouTube video for details), melt the Shea Butter & Coconut oil until both are liquified and mixed.
Add in the honey and stir until evenly blended.
Next, add in the lavender and tea tree essential oils - mix until evenly blended.
Then, cover the top of the bowl containing the mixed ingredients and place into the refrigerator for an hour or until solidified.
DO NOT FREEZE!
Using a hand mixer, gently blend the solidified ingredients until you achieve the consistency of lotion (or blend for 10 more minutes to achieve a ‘whipped butter’ consistency.
Transfer mixture to a mason jar or another sealable container.
Store at room temperature (or in thee refrigerator for a more solid consistency).
Use:
Apply to cleansed skin 2-3x daily.
